Jerry Oscar Strong
72, of Newburgh, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
Jerry was a graduate of Reitz High School and the University of Evansville. He retired from County Government in Orange County California. Jerry attended American Baptist East Church, was a member of the R-Mens Club and a volunteer at the Evansville Christian Life Center.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jerilyn Marie Strong; sons, Bryan and Timothy Strong both of Brick, NJ, Jeffrey Strong and his wife Carrie of Evansville, and Keith Strong and his wife Harmony of Rogue River, OR; Sister, Cheryl Darlene Notemeyer of Logan, UT; grandchildren, Aaryn, Austin, Morgan, Searra, Riley, Tyla, and Mason Strong.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at American Baptist East Church, 6300 Washington Ave., Evansville, IN 47715.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Jeff Stratton officiating.
