Anita Jean Dixon
77, of Evansville, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Anita was born March 17, 1932 to Mel and Pauline (Rahm) Griffin of Evansville.
Anita was a 1949 graduate of Bosse High School. She worked at H.A. Woods Drug Store, Pete Nussmeyer Pharmacy and retired from Wal-Mart Pharmacy in 2008 after 20 yrs of service. She was a 6yr+ breast cancer survivor.
She is survived by sons Kim Norton and wife Ellen, Kasey Norton, and Kelly Norton, all of Evansville, grandchildren Layne (Isabel) Norton of Champaign, IL, Jamon Norton, Derrick (Kelly) Norton, of Evansville, and Kaylee and Kolten Norton of New Albany, great-grandchildren Blake and Alex Norton, brothers Bill (Lavonda) Bullock of Evansville, and Donald (Kris) Griffin of Wilton, CT, special friends Renalyn Miller and Neil and Mellissa Troost, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kirk Norton in 2006 and her husband Don in 2005.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville.
Entombment in Park Lawn Mausoleum will be at a later date.
