Rose Ellen (Ensner) Hartman, 81
Born to Kathryn Rose DeJean and Stephen Ensner on March 11, 1928 in Evansville, IN, she passed away February 11. Having attended Memorial High School and St. Mary of the Woods College, she married the late Jerome P. Hartman in 1953 and settled in Tennessee. She was a member of the Faculty Wives Club of the University of Tennessee, where for many years she enjoyed the book club and a good game of tennis.
Rose Ellen is survived by her brother Stephen Ensner II; daughter Sarah Ellen Hailey with husband Dr. Max Hailey of Tullahoma; sons Michael Anthony of San Antonio; Mark Elliot of Fort Lauderdale; John Allen with wife Laura Powell of San Antonio; grandchildren Louis James Catignani IV, Kathryn Elliot and Liana Yan-Zhen Hartman. She is predeceased by her husband; her son David Joseph; and her brother Robert Ensner.
The family wishes to thank Judy Beaulieu as well as Hospice Compassus for their compassionate care of Rose Ellen.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church in Evansville, on Thursday, February 18th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sunshine KCARC, Knoxville, TN.
