Carole J. (Harosky) Sitch
Age 67, of Evansville, IN passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at her home.
Carole Jean was born and raised in Ford City, Pennsylvania where she met her husband Chuck. She was a wonderful wife and Mother who generously gave of her heart to others. Her family often thought of Carole as an Angel on Earth.
Carole graduated with summa cum laude honors from the School of Education at Southwest Minnesota State University. She was a Special Needs teacher at the David Turnham Educational Center in Dale, IN. Carole was a very active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish where she was the recipient of the 2009 Brute Society Award. She was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Worship & Spiritual Life Commission and active in both the Right of Christian Initiation of Adults and Christ Renews His Parish programs. Carole also taught Religious Education for several years. She was a Birthrite volunteer in Marshall, MN, as well as in Evansville, counseling expectant mothers.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Charles (Chuck) Sitch; children, Charles J. Sitch, of Reston, VA; Eric Sitch and wife Laurie, of Warren, OH; Kevin Sitch and wife Vanessa, of Leesburg, VA; Karen Grube and husband Matthew, of Sidney, OH; grandchildren, Noah and Erika Sitch; and Dustin Grube; brothers, Joseph Harosky, of Doylestown, PA; and Terry Harosky, of Middletown, MD; and mother, Pearl Harosky, of Ford City, PA.
Carole was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Harosky; and father, Joseph Harosky.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Avenue, Evansville, IN 47710; and will continue on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 918 W. Mill Road, Evansville, IN 47710.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, with Father Paul Ferguson officiating.
Visitation will continue on Friday, March 5, 2010, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mantini Funeral Home, 701 Sixth Avenue, Ford City, PA, 16226.
Funeral Services in Ford City will be held on Saturday March 6, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at Mantini Funeral Home and continued at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Burial will be at St. Francis DePaul Cemetery in Ford City, PA.
Memorial Contributions may be made for Masses for Carole or to the American Cancer Society, 6301 Old Boonville Highway, Ste. B, Evansville, IN 47715.
